Regarding the JICA feasibility study project, Kens. co was shipped the related equipment (School lighting and LED lantern charging system) at the beginning
of 2021 so that the charging system will start to install from April 2021.
We visited with the Japanese team in Burkina Faso in March 2021. Our targeted school was YAGMKOUDOGO school, Burkina Faso. We installed 100 pcs of 5w amorphous solar sheet on the school ground to charge during the daytime or school time. 100 pcs of LED Lantern was charging at that time. School starts at 7.00 am and end at 12.30 pm. During that time LED lantern was charging and when students return to their house after class, an LED lantern was lent to among 100 students for study at night time. The next day, all 100 students will bring an LED lanterns to charge during the daytime in Shool.
This project is under JICA. Our purpose is to improve education quality as well SDGs in Africa through Education and renewable energy.
Project Details :
Actually, the objective of the project is to prove (i) the improvement of the educational result of the students after regular use of LED Lantern at home and (ii) school financial sustainability by charging rental fees to the users, in order to create future concrete projects.
