Thanks to the Association Faso Japon Solidarité (AFAJAPS) and its partners, the sun shines
on the nights of people in the town of Tanghin Dassouri. Indeed, it proceeded to the installation of photovoltaic solar energy equipment in five socioeconomic infrastructures of this locality which are the primary public school of Kologh-Naaba, the health center, the market, the museum of Bazoulé, and the Bazoulé Cayman Pool), among others, who benefited from this pilot phase of the project, the cost of which was estimated at 48,490,462 CFA francs. With a total of 26 lampposts, five fixed lighting systems, and 10 sets of portable lighting systems, the objectives, according to the president of AFAJAPS, Siaka Gobé, are the improvement of academic performance, the quality of health services, the productivity of traders in the markets; boosting tourism in Tanghin-Dassouri; reduction of poverty and insecurity. And in a sustainable way, with regard to the quality of the equipment, certified by the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Japan, Tamotsu Ikezaki, constituted by solar plates in the form of ribbons, foldable, easy to install, and with a lifespan of 25 years. The works were therefore executed, entirely by Burkinabè. Local people provided the workforce under the technical eye of the president and CEO of the Burkinabè company, Miyota, Joseph Lompo, representative of the Japanese company, Kens.Co in Burkina Faso. In the opinion of the Minister of National Education, Literacy and Promotion of National Languages, Stanislas Ouaro, students who have access to energy sometimes succeed better than those who do not.In the same vein, the mayor of the commune of Tanghin Dassouri, Alassane Kiemtoré, visibly satisfied, thanked the initiators and their partners.
